The Ankeny Generals have always valued the importance of supporting veterans. We proudly wear the stars and stripes during our battles on the baseball field, but we are especially honored to give back to the true heroes who have sacrificed so much.
That’s why we are thrilled to donate a portion of our fundraising efforts to K9s For Warriors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending veteran suicide. K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of these dogs being rescued, this innovative program fosters an unwavering bond between K9s and warriors, facilitating their collective healing and recovery.
